Our vision of BIST Primary school

Martine Laurie

Primary Principal

Our vision is to develop confident and responsible children.

To empower them to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them. To educate all pupils to the highest levels of academic achievement, to enable them to reach and expand their potential, and to prepare them to become productive, responsible, ethical, creative, inclusive and compassionate members of society.

We strive to offer a safe, happy place where everyone is known and valued, and where education takes place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all. With the aim of them becoming life-long learners, who participate in and contribute to the global world and practise the core values of the school: respect, tolerance, uniqueness, integrity, balance and success.

We care for your child

Safeguarding

We provide a caring, loving and secure environment, involving all pupils, adults within the school community.

Pastoral Care

Together in partnership with parents and carers we aim to look after the welfare of all our children. Happy, healthy children learn best.

Student council

We aim to create an environment in which all the students understand, respect and appreciate each other’s cultural diversity.

Extra Curricular Activities

While we teach the children the importance of academic achievement, we also encourage them to take a deeper look into their potential.

Supporting Families

We endeavour to provide good communication with parents, as we believe that parents are also partners in their child’s education and development.

Empowering your child

Passion fuels purpose — when your child’s dreams are anchored to a clear vision and driven by his or her interests, he or she will be motivated to work harder to make those dreams come true.
